![]() Ps: both cpu and mobo are suposed to have warranty. Im a bit sad bc I spent a lot of money and since I updated the pc I couldnt enjoy it yet What is failing? Cpu, mobo or ram? Is there a solution for this? IMO, the rams have nothing to do with it, but Im kind of noob in this stuff. I already tried removing the mobo batery, and clearing cmos but I can get my system to boot. So I updated my BIOS to the last version (I cant remember if I can get it to post after BIOS update) but the thing is that now my mobo doesnt do anything, when I power on the pc it turns on DRAM light, then the CPU light for one second and after that nothing happens. When I finish my work I set the rams to 3600mhz (one of the two docp profiles available for my rams) and it booted but when I did a test (5min running aida64) it freezed again. Well, today I got my new RAMs and when I first connected it all worked fine (I gave it very low use bc I needed to finish some work asap and I didnt want to risk my pc to freeze again). With the Corsair sticks I could get it work if I only use one stick, but as soon as I put two at the same time, the system got unstable and it even wont post ( mobo stucked in DRAM light). I had some 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance RGB that werent in QVL list so I returned them and bought the HyperX kit I mentioned. So here's the full story: I updated my pc and from the first day I cant get it to be stable. RAMS: 2x8gb HyperX Predator 650w 80+ Bronze I recently updated my pc (changed mobo,cpu and rams), and since then I cant get my system stable. I then installed the GPU (since this is an F SKU CPU, and thus doesn't have integrated graphics) and was able to see the BIOS on the monitor.Hi! I've been struggling a lot with this. The debug LEDs seemed to progress normally. I turned off the PSU and re-installed the CPU and RAM. This resulted in the EZ debug light being stuck on the red CPU LED, probably since the CPU wasn't installed. Eventually they stopped, and the system seemed to try to boot. They both continued flashing for around 5-10 minutes. A few seconds later, the activity LED on my flash drive (yours may or may not have one) began flashing. I made sure my power supply switch was turned on, and then pressed the Flash BIOS Button briefly.Ī red LED next to the button began flashing. At this point, I already had the CPU and ATX power cables plugged into my power supply, but you should plug those in now if you don't. This happens to be the USB 2.0 port directly next to the Flash BIOS Button. ![]() ![]() I then took that USB drive and plugged it into the designated "Flash BIOS Port", as indicated on page 10 of the manual. I placed the CPU in its plastic carrier during this process, and placed the CPU box over the socket exposed to avoid dust falling onto it. I'm not sure if this is necessary, but they don't have to be in for the rest of this process. I removed the CPU and RAM from the motherboard. I copied that file to the root directory of the flash drive, and renamed it "MSI.ROM" as instructed in the motherboard manual. In that folder was a file named "E7D25IMS.A92" (along with a text file, which isn't needed). I saved it to the USB flash drive which I had for installing Windows, then extracted the contents, producing a folder named "7D25vA92". I downloaded the most recent BIOS from MSI's support page for the motherboard ( ), which was version 7D25vA92 at the time of writing, released. Fortunately, this motherboard has a "Flash BIOS Button" (See page 30 of the motherboard manual). Finally, a dead CMOS battery can also cause the red light to trigger. It could also be the CPU fan is not plugged in. The CPU might not be plugged in correctly, or one of the pins is bent. I realized the motherboard box said "Supports 12th Gen Intel Core™ Processors", and decided to try updating the BIOS. CPU: A red light near this indicator means the motherboard does not recognize the CPU, which could mean many things. SOLUTION: TL DR Use the Flash BIOS button to update the BIOS with a USB flash drive, as instructed in the motherboard manual. In some cases, the CPU light would stay on the whole time until I turned it I retried a few times, and tried removing the CPU cooler and removing/repositioning the RAM sticks a few times to fix it. All the fans turned on, but I noticed that the EZ Debug LEDs (see page 25 of the motherboard manual ) would have the CPU light turn red for a second or so, followed by the DRAM light turning orange for about half a second, and then repeating. When I was putting my system together on the bench (on the motherboard box), I tried booting the system. I tried to use a long title to make this easier to search in the future. I'm posting this because when I was troubleshooting, I didn't find this solution in the search results, but worked it out on my own. This post is actually for a solution rather than a problem.
